The Flintstones’ Autobianchi

Yes, here we have yet another bottom-feeder mircocar.  Autobianchis were ‘upscale’ microcars based on Fiat 500s back in the day.  They had unique sheetmetal and upmarket interiors, at least as compared to basic Fiats.  This Bianchina Transfomabile is a coupe with canvas sunroof, which is the ‘transformable’ part.  This one was used as a display for an Italian restaurant and current has little in the way of floor pans, but Fiat 500 parts can be used, so it may not be a lost cause.

The seller claims to have gotten this car running with a direct fuel supply, so that’s good news.  Given the lack of floor pans, this is a full restoration project and not one you should drive as is.  Still, at $5K or less with major parts common with a Fiat 500, one who restores this car will not necessarily be upside-down.

This is a very small scale coupe with classic lines.

Vents on the rear decklid hint at its rear-engine nature.  I’m guessing the top will need new canvas.

Here’s the flintstones part. Good news is parts aren’t to hard to find.

Front ‘trunk’ houses the fuel  tank, which you’ll want to drain and clean.

Apparently,this little  engine does run.

Up for sale is this very rare 1960  original Autobianchi BIANCHINA TRASFORMABILE . Based on a Fiat 500 less then 10000 units were ever produced by
Autobianchi in Italy. Most cars rusted away and got junked, only a few are still existing. Doing my research i found that a restored Bianchina
will bring no less than 30000 Dollars at a classic Car Auction, some even went up to close to 50000 USD !!
The car is a Barn find ,  than made up to be decoration in a near by Italien Restaurant.
I managed to buy the car with the intent to put it back on the road. We took the oil pan of, cleaned all parts, cranked it over to make sure
oilpressure is building and having oil  circulation. The engine fired up and ran putting fuel in the carburettor. I sent out the distributor for repair and adjustment, seems one bearing in there is no good. Most Tires rotted away over time but i will put new ones on before the end of the auction to roll it easy. There are some parts missing but all major things are present. It will need new floors as they rusted away over the years, as well as the front under the spare tire .
To make it real nice it will need complete restauration. All sheet metal parts needed are Fiat 500 parts  and easy available aftermarket all Bianchina parts are available  at autoricambisassi.com.
I will assist the shipping to any destination Worldwide.
The car does come with a clean Title, clean Title on hand !  Selling “as is” as a restauration project, Milage unknown.
