Easily the most interesting HHR.

Generally, the Chevrolet HHR wasn’t a very exciting vehicle.  The PT Cruiser arrived well before it, making the HHR a slow follower and a true “me, too” product.  It was even penned by the same stylist after GM poached him from Chrysler (sometime after Bob Lutz made the same jump).  All that being said, the relatively rare SS version was fairly potent with its 260HP turbocharged I4 and the panel van version was certainly something different.  Apparently, the two concepts were combined for the 2009 model year, with only a couple hundred built.

This example has a little over 20K miles, so it probably does get much better if you want relatively new weirdness that should be pretty fun to drive.  The question is, do you think it’s worth $17K+?

Windowless doors FTW!

5-speed was already a bit of a throwback during the 2009 model year, but we’re just happy it has a clutch pedal.

One could probably build a pretty good meth lab back here.

Here’s the Ecotech turbo four, shared with the Cobalt SS in this FWD format and with the Solstice and Sky in RWD configuration.

 History and comments:

+  This vehicle is truly a fine automobile.  It’s a real ‘sleeper’.  The direct injected turbo motor, with the

no lift shift, 5 sp. manual make it very quick. GM’s Performance Division really designed a great

     package here.

+  The 4 wheel antilock brakes with Brembos and the limited slip diff, launch control, tires, and performance

suspension make this car handle beautifully and a blast to drive !

+  It doesn’t hurt that it gets 25-35 mpg either.

+  I have treated this car with care and have never abused it.

+  It’s always been garaged, hand washed, and waxed.

+  It is 100 % stock and original. No accidents.

+  there is 1 very small scratch (pictured) on the left rear quarter that is barely

     noticeable unless pointed out.

+  This HHR SS Panel is as close to new as can be – with a very, very low 20,500 mi.

+  The color, options, mileage, and rarity make this car highly collectible.

+  These SS Panels are very rarely offered for sale. I personally have had more interest in this

vehicle than any I’ve owned – including Jaguars, street rods, and muscle cars.

+  I’m the 2nd owner.  The original owner traded it in at a GM dealership in Toronto,Canada.

I had the car shipped to me by an international broker, from Canada to Michigan.

+  All smog, recall, and warranty requirements had to be addressed by the dealer and brokerage firm

before it could cross the border.

+  Canadian and U.S. smog rules are identical for this year vehicle, so nothing needed to be done,

     just the paperwork.

+  I have all the relevant paperwork.

+  The whole process went very smoothly, and I’ve had no problems registering and plating the car

     in Michigan.

+  The only difference in this vehicle is the scale on the speedo and boost gauge.  There are more

numbers on the speedo, and the boost says kPa. They have both been re-calibrated to read

     correctly in mph and psi.

+  New face plates are available to read the smaller scale. It never bothered me.

+  This car needs nothing. It can be driven anywhere right now.

+  It was not put into service until Oct 2010, so the 3 yr/36,000mi warranty just expired, but

the 5 yr/ 100,000 mi powertrain warranty ( transferable ) is good until Oct 2015.

+  Also, the car had a Verified Car Proof run on it before I bought it.  This is the Canadian version

of CarFax. It was 100 % clean.

+   So,  I’m selling this awesome machine to help pay for a new truck, which I need more right now.

My loss can be your gain.

+    This is a rare opportunity.  Go for it !!
