Best of the worst? 1977 Corvette 4-Speed

The mid 70s through early 80s “Malaise Era” C3 Corvettes get a bum rap, as their performance dwindled through the emissions years.  Anyone who’s been in one, however, knows that they provide impressive torque in an attractive package.  This tan ’77 is the type of Corvette often overlooked or even mocked, but we like the manual transmission and low level of weighty options.  We say this has the potential to be good, bargain fun in its own way, even if it’s not equipped with the upgraded L-82 engine.

This particular example has a claimed 52K original miles in 36+ years and is only bid p to $6,100 with less than a day left?  Will it meet reserve? If the reserve isn’t ridiculous, we’ll bet someone gets a surprising deal on a low mileage, three-pedal ‘Vette.

1977 Corvette 4-speed coupe in near immaculate condition.  Very rare low option car.  Is equipped with power steering and power brakes.  No factory air conditioning.  Drivetrain very solid with no unusual noises.  Engine is very healthy and is #s matching.  All distributor shielding is in place.  Clutch is new.  Car appears to have a no hit body with one repaint.  Weather stripping appears new.  Carpet has minor fading, seats look new.  Mileage on title is listed as exempt, but car looks as if it could be 52,000 actual miles.  Fly in and drive home with confidence.  Call Dennis with questions at 785-691-5969.
