AMC Squire?

We can’t say we’ve ever seen one of these in full,  wood grained crappiness.

$395 with 5 bids and reserve not met
Lynnwood, WA (no, not Lynnwood, CA, which is Weird Al’s hometown)
04/17/2013:  Ended with reserve not met at $2,092.12.  Perhaps $2,092.47 would have taken her home.

The interior is everything you’d expect, based on the delicious exterior. Admit it, you want to put your tongue on that driver’s seat.

Here’s the mighty 401.

Ad text:

This auction is for a very rare 1973 AMC Ambassador Brougham Wagon in Copper Tan with only 95,000 miles.  This car has almost all of the options you could get in ’73 including:

Z Code 401 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, locks, and doors, air conditioning, and tilt wheel.  It has a rebuilt engine and transmission and runs and drives very well.  It has a very little amount of surface rust, mostly on the hood.  It is in original condition except for battery, and wheels, though this auction includes four original hubcaps.  The interior is all intact and in good condition but the front seat cloth needs replacement.  The underside of the car is really solid with no rust.  The car does need exhaust from the mufflers back as it is rotted out.   This beauty is a really sweet cruiser and drives just as well as it did when it came off the showroom floor.

Email with any questions.   We have set a very low reserve to move this quickly.

Pick-up only or arrange for delivery.

Damn. I have relatives within a couple of hours of this, wonder if I could talk them into it. Love them big ol' wagons

Don't let it be the one that got away! Really, you just want to put your tongue on that seat…

This was considered a 'mid-sized' car. Note the 401 V8 engine.
Last gasp of AMC's attempt to cover all of the Big 3 product segments before impending financial meltdown and "bet the company" comeback car – (ta da!) the 1975 Pacer.

Ah, so more of a Torino Wagon competitor than an LTD II Wagon competitor. If only the French had saved them earlier!
