To me, owning a front drive Monte Carlo is the same as screaming “I love NASCAR” from the hilltops. The 80s SS, with V8 and RWD, was a different matter, but there’s really on appeal to the FWD Monte, which was really just an evolution of the rental car special Lumina. Sure, a V8 popped back into it late in the next generation Monte Carlo’s lifecycle, but it was still FWD and still had those wacky bowtie headlights.
As a Brickyard 400 special, this Monte hides absolutely nothing. If this is your sort of thing, you should know this has a claimed 9,500 miles. I’m not sure what to say about the price on this thing. It’s probably not bad for just the right person, given low miles and great condition, but I’m just not that person.

As with most pace car replicas, you get a lot of decals here, and little else. The white wheels might also be part of the deal.
These Montes, while not exciting to me, have MUCH cleaner lines than the patently ugly 2000-2007 cars. Aside from the decals, there’s really nothing to complain about here, aesthetically.
Rear end doesn’t give away much, except for the kinda-cool quad tailpipes, which all Z34s offered.
Yep…90s GM with lots of oddly rounded buttons, funky steering wheel shape and miles of plastic. At least this has leather seating surfaces.
At least this 3.4LV6 broke the 200HP mark.
