Yet Another Interpretation of the Volvo PV Hot Rod Concept

I assume it’s because these resemble 1940 Fords, but it seems that every Tom, Dick or Sven with a Volvo PV wants to make it into some sort of hot rod.  It might also have something to do with the stock engine.  It’s legendary for its durability, but, with the early versions, not so much for its performance.  This ’62 model, however, should have come with the later B18, which is a great engine to modify.  Still, a swap is sometimes cheaper than mods, and almost anything can fit into a RWD Volvo.

For some reason, a Chevy 3.8 V6 was chosen for this swap – not a typical selection.  Still, it should provide decent torque and HP to move this little guy and, thankfully, the swapper chose a manual transmission.  It’s too bad there’s no engine picture, however.

Purple primer?  Is the grille gone forever?

Single, center-mount exhaust outlet is ‘interesting.’

Purple theme continues inside!  Jack stand included?
