WTT Means What the Truck?!

This really defines the WTF label here on Oddimotive.

So, there’s a Chevy S-10 in there, which is evident in the greenhouse, but not its location vs. other typically fixed points in the vehicle structure.  Note that this is NOT a six-wheeler – that is a side-mounted spare, in the style of 1920s and 30s classics.  While it’s hard to imagine dreaming this up, I must admit that the work appears to be well done.

Oh, did I mention that this is powered by a V12 from a Pierce Arrow?  Makes sense…

Yes, a rear end from a full-size dually was used and, no, I don’t know why the builder cheaped out on tail lights.

Knight Rider-style steering yoke is an ‘interesting’ touch.

Yep – there’s the 1941 Pierce Arrow V12.  Should provide smooth power, as claimed by the seller/builder.  It seems to me the engine is worth more than several 1998 S-10s.

This custom built Chevy s-10 hot rod fire truck offered here by the owner/builder and located in Lake City, Fl. This project required 3 years to complete and all the work except the paint was completed in my Melrose Florida shop. A complete photo build record is available.

This truck was built as a short range car show, show stopper and parade vehicle. It does both very well. TRUCK:1998 Chevy s-10, channeled 3″ and cab moved aft 42″; frame modified and boxed; 2005 GM dually rear end; 26.5 gal. tank; custom interior; heater; rear fenders, tank, and bed are .125 alum.; front fenders, dash and center console are .090 alum.; grill, exhaust, plumbing are all stainless; ez-wire harness; unique steering wheel; 4 wheel power disc brakes; left side mount spare; custom radiator w/ 8 gal syst. cap.;3600 cfm elect. fan; nose shell fiberglass; headlights by Hella in custom cones; LED tail & signal lights; paint 3 coats acrylic enamel w/ 2 coats clear; ENGINE: 1941 Seagrave/Pierce Arrow 461 cu.in. V-12; books at 202 hp w/ 365 lbs torque; rebuilt stock internaly; custom alternator; 2 Rochester Mod B carbs; Chevy 700r4 OD trans; Dodge P/S pump; dual optical trigger electronic ign. thru Jag. caps and rotors; 24 spark plugs and 60 ft. ign. wire; these engines are fully counterbalanced and equiped w/ hydraulic lifters for unbelieveably smooth operation.
