Wagon Week Continues with a 1965 Mercury Commuter!

I’ve never seen a Mercury Commuter and it’s unfortunate that the seller provides so little information, but the pictures and dry location mean there’s a good change this is a nice example.

It’s a safe bet that this has some version of the 390 “Marauder” engine, although it could be the basic two-barrel version.  Either way, enough torque should be present to move this big bastard reasonably well.

Yes, this is pretty much the mid-60s Mercury front end in cool wagon form.

Bottom-hinged tailgate should provide a nice seating area.

The lack of a front seat/dash picture is unfortunate, but this at least reveals the classic two-bench configuration.  I’m not sure if this has additional seating in the rear.  Condition looks good from what is shown. Does velour indicate is was recovered?
