The Train Truck

Beneath this moderately convincing steam train is a Chevy 1-ton truck chassis powered by a good ‘ol 350. As one can imagine, this was used for parades in the past. What will you do with it?

Someone put a fair amount of work into this, so it’s at least somewhat convincing.
Profile reveals what we assume is a removable cloth roof in the rear. We’re not sure why the emergency light it there, but it’s probably a hit with kids.
Here we can see the pass-through from seating area to cab.
This does appear to have all the lights necessary for street driving and it’s capable of towing. Maybe you can doll up a trailer to look like a tender car.
Ergonomics don’t look great and we’re not sure there is any front visibility to speak of.
This does have some form of stereo (oddly located) and a carry case for something.
Here’s that seating area.
We’re not sure how this is accessed, but this is the good ‘ol Chevy 350. It’s not pretty, but should be cheap and easy to maintain (or, eventually, replace).
