Stroll into Burning Man in a Giant Chuck Taylor

This is an art car, but part of this ad is the idea that this gets you nearly-guaranteed entry into Burning Man.  If that’s your thing, this is an interesting way to do it.

The seller provides a pretty good amount of info and it appears one can live in this combination of car and trailer, given it has a porta-potty (in the car) and a freezer (in the trailer).  Four spare wheels/tires are included, too, as rebar seems to be a very real burning man problem.

Under all the shoe-ness is a 1993 Altima (the mini-J30 body style) with 147K miles and an automatic trans.  That’s not exciting, but it can be expected to be reliable, assuming it has received maintenance.

Pretty much as described, no?

Is that a window?

Here’s the trailer.  Supposedly, one 50-gallon drum is for water and the other is for fuel.  We’re surprised they’re not labeled better…

Did we mention the neon?

?

Interior is remarkably normal and is complete with shitty Pep Boys wheel cover.

Two can sit stop this beast in seat belts.  This may not be a good idea on the freeway.

That’s not a cooler – it’s a shitter.  We’re talking about the plastic box, not the hole in the car’s roof, although…

I have a conditional invitation to bring the art car to Burning Man 2016. You will need to fill out an application with the Black Rock City DMV online so you can register the car in your name. The DMV has stated that they allow this, as long as there is sufficient time before the event.

This art car is built out of a 1993 Nissan Altima, permanently modified to resemble a Tennis Shoe. It is in great running and aesthetic condition. The car has a 4-cylinder engine with automatic transmission, and only 147k miles. It features keyless entry, power windows, power steering, and AM/FM radio with CD player. The A/C is very cold, and seating for 7 with seat belts so it can keep your whole crew cooled off on the playa. The heater works great in case you get chilly at night. The top is removable or retractable, with a camping porta-potty on the upper deck. The car comes with 4 spare tires in case you accidentally run over some rebar. The car comes with the title.

The Art Car Trailer has built in ramps, freezer and 1750 watt generator to keep food frozen for the week. Just run it a couple hours a day. 8 x 8 x 4 storage shed with ladder to store all your gear. 4 wheel electric brakes and 2 spare tires. In the small storage box in the front is a jack and wrench to change tires. Comes with two 50-gallon jugs, one for water and one for fuel. The solar panels provide a 45 watts 12v power supply. The trailer comes with the title.

Free Storage In Reno Until BM 2016.

What a unique design! I never think like this design. For this design $15,000 with ZERO bids, $25,000 BIN price and six days to go? Whats's the final result?
