Sale Forced by HOA?

When I see not one, not two, but three Thunderbird Turbo Coupes for sale as a group and the pictures also reveal outdoor storage of an engine hoist, I have to assume this is a forced sale of some sort.  Forced by a spouse?  Forced by HOA?  I don’t know, but Fox T-Bird hoarders don’t usually let go easily.  Of course, one possible explanation is that there is so little of value left in these three that the space is worth more than the cars.

If purchasing this lot makes sense to you, you already know it.  So, I won’t add too much to what the seller has stated.  These are rusty, non-running, not-all-that-complete turbo Birds.  You might pull together a good car from the bunch with a lot of effort, but you’ll need to be able to store the scrap.

To his or her credit, the seller points out that the best car of the bunch is probably best only as a race car, which means don’t bother trying to find an interior.  Despite all the rust, the biggest concern here is that the seller has title to two of three that are not in his or her name.  What does one do with that?

Here they are – three rusty Turbo Coupes.  The two with transmissions have manuals, too!  I guess this isn’t HOA-forced, as the upstate location and quantity of land and sheds indicates this is not a highly regulated ‘burb.

I once had a hand-me-down 1986 base V6 T-Bird and my parents had a 1988 Turbo Coupe at one time; so this older interior stands out to me.  While this body brought with it a new exterior styling age for Ford in 1983(long before the Taurus), the interior looked dated by the time it got updated for the 1985 model year.

Notably, the ’86 has the same steering wheel as the upgraded 87-88 models. That’s all we can really gather from this rolling shell.

I have three Thunderbird Turbo Coupes plus some parts I want to sell all as a group. There are two 83’s and one 86. All are black with 5 spds. I will describe them briefly. They are all projects, salvage or parts cars. I have owned around ten years an have been stored inside on concrete. Follow the pictures. The one with the grey nose (83) is the worst. It is very rusty but mostly complete. It ran & moved when I got it but not now. The gas tank has rusted out and clutch linkage is stuck. No brakes but engine turns over well on battery. Have keys. Have title but not in my name. The second car with chrome grille (83) is the better but has rust also. Again, it ran & drove when I got it but not now. Clutch linkage is stuck but engine still turns over well on battery. Have ignition key but no trunk key. No title. The third car with black grille (86) is a rolling shell only. There is no engine, no transmission and the interior is gutted as shown. It is the most solid of the three but still has some rust. The deck lid on it is not correct. Probably only good as a race car. Have title but not in my name. No keys. All cars roll & steer but none have brakes. All glass is good. Extra parts include nose piece, grille, H/L doors, T/L lens, gauge cluster, 100 page dealer instruction manual. Not shown but included is a hood, LF fender, gas tank and one set of door glass. I’ll answer any questions best I can  and provide additional pics if needed. No reserve, opening bid right around scrap value. Hoping someone can use these for one reason or another. If you have 5 or less positive feedback please contact me first or I will cancel your bid. Thanks for looking.
