Quickie: Subaru 360 Young S in Cabrio form!

Just last month, we featured a Subaru 360 Young S Coupe.  this is the Cabriolet version started life as a Coupe, too.  You’ll have to decide which is better.

The car seems nice enough, but I’d worry about a custom top.  Is there any chance it keeps water out?  Price here isn’t bad, but does the custom top add or subtract value?

Unique is a nice way to describe the looks of the 360.

The top looks reasonably good for a custom job and plastic window appears to be in good condition.

Young badge get street cred with Subie folks.

Interior is simple and purposeful.  It’s nice to see a microcar with a decent suite of gauges.  As the seller points out the tach and 4-speed are specific to the Young S.

I an in Northern Cal approx 500 miles North on 101. I can arrange shipping for $400 extra, BUT I prefer that you see and drive before purchase.

“Hachi” is a California rust free car. Starts, runs and drives well. Has the rare young features, 4 speed, tach, improved interior.

The nicely done convertible conversion is not original. There were some original 360 converts, but this is not an accurate copy. You can also notice that the front indicator lenses are not original, they’re Mercedes 190SL units.

It is missing the original air filter can, and needs a trunk latch. The brake master has been sleeved in the past, I just put a kit in it. I feel the fit is a bit too tight, the m/c bears watching.

The LF fender has been repaired in the past, okay for the street, but sure could be better.

This is a great inexpensive micro. Japanese cars are finally generating lots of enthusiat interest, and of course micro car values are going nuts.

Better than most 360s in my price range, and a super bargain versus a Fiat 500, Bianchina, Vespa 400, or similar.
