Quickie: Off-Road Mercedes?

Any ad starting with those words is bound to be good.

This is a 1984 300SD with suspension lift.  I suppose it has some ground clearance now, but I don’t imagine it was 4WD.  So, you can interpret off-road however, you want.  Either way, it’s rather odd.  As with 99.9% of sellers of diesel-powered vehicles these days, the seller talks about a biodiesel/veggie oil conversion which hasn’t yet been done.

This is the cockroach of cars- it will survive a nuclear holocaust.

I have invested a lot of time, energy and money into this car to make sure it is in perfect mechanical condition.

This mercedes is a 1984 300d turbo diesel sedan that has been gone over completely ($$$) and lifted with all new suspension components ($$$). It looks super tough and unique but still classy.

Brand new:
-radiator
-fuel pump
-Trailer hitch
-high output alternator
-tires
-battery
-oil
-transmission
-skidplate
-airfilter
-oilfilter
-fuel filter
-valve adjustment
-throttle linkage adjustment
-egr delete

It comes with thule roof racks and bicycle racks and ski racks.

I had the compression checked and all cylinders are as new. !

It’s hard to put a value on it because it’s cost me 10 grand in purchase/upgrades/mods, but people comment on it all the time and you could drive it cross country tonight. It is a great candidate for bio diesel/vege oil conversion.

$5500.
