Just another Fiat 850 Body Type

Recently, we featured a Fiat 850 Sedan, which is the most formal of the 850 bodies.  In that article, we referenced, among others, the Coupe version.  Low and behold, one has come along on Craigslist.

This one’s a project, but the seller claims lots of recent work – essentially everything mechanical.  The body appears to be in good shape, so that leaves paint and interior, as well as some carb tuning.  Because it hasn’t been registered since 1992, about $400 in back fees will be due upon registration.

We think the price might be high, considering the back fees, but this thing has major potential if bought at the right price.  That assumes you can source interior parts and work without too much trouble and investment – we’d feel better with a picture or two of the interior and engine compartment.

Looking to sell my Fiat. I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Engine Rebuilt, basically new everything. Braking system all new. Trans has new fluid and in great shape. New radiator. New starter. New water-pump. New Tires. Wheels freshly powder-coated. New clutch. All kinds of new stuff on this rare car. Starts, runs, drives and brakes good.

Interior needs re-done. Needs paint. Needs registered. Has been off the road since 1992. Needs some carb. work to get consistent idle. About $400 in fees due, hence the low price of the car.

Car is still a project. Not ready to be driven daily, comes with a bill of sale.

I’ve invested close to $7000 in this car, come see it and make an offer. I’ve got more cars than room. Fiat was last in, first to go.

These are the only pics I have. The interior is all there but the seats and dash need repaired.
