How About a REAL Fiesta?

Not too many years ago, I could search “Fiesta” and only find these quirky euro imports from the late 70s.  Now, with the (welcome in ST form) return of the Fiesta, things are more complicated.  Luckily, these cool little cars still come along from time to time, although sometimes horribly overpriced, like this one.

The seller claims this is a daily driver, but has some transmission noise.  If minor, it could go for quite some time, but it might be nice to look into the availability of parts.  Otherwise, this looks like a cool find.  There’s evidence of some minor mods in the form of exhaust and gauges, but the only thing that causes concern here is the lack of filtration for the intake air.

Fog lamps area nice touch.

It’s really too bad there’s not another car next to this, as the pictures don’t communicate the car’s tiny size very well.

Funky dual exhaust is kind of cool.  Hopefully, it doesn’t sound like a fart can Honda.

Clutch pedal is visible, although I’ve never seen an automatic, classic Fiesta.

There’s the shifter…good news.  Seats are certainly in serviceable shape.

Engine compartment looks fine and there’s not evidence of mods here.  How long has it been running sans air cleaner???
