Homemade Something-or-Other

I guess I’ll call this a rock crawler, although I don’t know whether this is really a capable crawler…

The seller provides some info, but nothing on the frame underneath this.  The mention of needed suspension welding is cause for concern, particularly considering the implied purpose of the vehicle.

Anyone else remember Mickey Thompson Baja Belted tires from badass 80s/90s Jeeps?  Either the tires were bought used or they’ve brushed up against some rocks.  I find it hard to believe this has been parked at a curb…

Is it leaking, or is that a gopher hole?

Ad text:

This truck buggy has been registered as a 2014. It took a few good years of planning and custom design to build this very unique vehicle, which has front and rear hydraulic steering, a huge diesel front grill and a customized body like no other. It is four wheel drive with huge axles and locking hubs. Transmission is semi-automatic with a stick shift lever within nice reach of the driver’s seat. The upholstery and paint job need attention because it has been sitting for a while. The very large tires are slightly worn. The two batteries, one for the engine and the other for the hydraulics, are probably both dead from sitting. A complete blue-printed high performance 4-bolt main Chevy or GMC 350 motor sits comfortably under the hood with plenty of room to work on it. A twin fan keeps the aluminum radiator running cool. Lots of chrome stuff that a mechanical person would know about. The width of the vehicle is a bit wide with huge tires, so for towing away one could trailer over the the wheel-wells of a typical flatbed trailer using skinnier tires and rims, or just simply ramp it up and over the wheel-wells using boards. I am selling this vehicle far below value because there are a few minor things left to do besides getting new batteries and paint. The front shock perches need to have a small bracket welded on the front. Other than that nearly everything has already been done.

Will consider interesting or partial trades for clean economy or midsize car, truck, or SUV with automatic transmission and AC…
