The headline of this ad reads “2003 Volkswagen Passat 4dr Wgn W8 4MOTION 6-spd Manual – $8999.” I clicked because genuine 6-speed W8 Wagons do exist, but a look at the images in this ad shows it has an automatic. Still, any W8 is an interesting piece, and the wagon is 47% cooler.
This is also a highly complex VW product made in the early to mid 2000s – not a pinnacle of reliability. If it holds together, this would make a great daily driver, as it’s an all-’rounder car (fun + wagon). The low mileage is enticing, but I’d personally hold out for an uber-rare 6-speed manual version, preferably in dark blue over gray. Not that I think about such things.
