The real NX, not the new Lexus thing

We love the Nissan NX2000. Your humble host once owned a 1993 Sentra SE-R – very closely related – and loved it.  It’s high on the ‘would love to have another’ list.


Here we have an SR20DET swap, which could make it even more fun.  Of course, certain details on this car make us wonder how well done it is.  Aside from recent Lexus news making us think of the NX, it’s the hood scoop that landed this car on our pages.

Has bigger gas pump b/c bigger engine
Has guages turbo and oil pressure with a spot open for another guage if you choose to put in.
Turbo stock at 7lbs
14″ rims 
Hid dual projector headlights have clear white and gold yellow
Battery in trunk for hid ballast spacing. One ballast has gone bad and guy wouldnt replace.
Strut bar in back connecting rear suspension
Has T tops very fun better than a convertible
I custom made hood scoop bc of topmount intercooler.
Great car body has around 186,000 mi.
Engine has around 48,000 mi.
Transmission has around 70,000 mi.

A stock sr20 is 140hp 130 torque
Engine was bought last year in febuary. Engine sells easily for 1700+ on ebay.
This sr20det was built for rally racing .. most sr20det have 228hp 205torque this one should have 240hp 
Mpg Hwy aprox 28 city 24
if drive 3,000rpm or under car gets 33mpg

Have a very nice cd deck in car bought new 2011 in november originally $300+ has aux and usb in front. Has front, rear, and sub inputting. Has remote. /w built in amp.
I Have all cables you need for subs amp etc already run to back of car.

This is a great running car just needs some tlc ive enjoyed it a lot it was my first car there was one owner before me
ive always done oil changes on time etc. 
I have title.

Cost around $3,000 to do the swap (including engine)
pros: awesome strong engine 5speed, bigger gas pump, gauges already in, if your looking for a great daily with power or want to fix for track great car. Just replaced all motor mounts and fixed shift linkeage problem.
Cons: water leakage from heater hose in back of engine (difficult to reach), could use windshield replaced and quick paint job.
(i have not allowed to over heat)
Powersteering leaking but I actually just have it disconected kinda perfer now but anyways its there and works just leaks over time.
