Remember the Shelby GT350H?

Well, this ain’t it.

However, this was an attempt at doing the same thing during Shelby’s Chrysler phase and working with Thrifty. Of all things, they chose a Dodge Shadow.  Despite that, the CSX is one we’ve always wanted to try out – quite a bit of power in a small package.  One can only image the torque steer…

There is one CSX that’s been known to appear at Irvine Cars and Coffee.  The owner keeps a ferret inside the car.  We’re not sure what to do with that.

Anywho, about 1,000 of these Thrifty specials were built and all went to Thrifty and were later resold if not destroyed while in service.

Expert advice:  Unless the auction falls through and you can pick it up for $500 or less, let this one go and wait for a more original one to come up.  How much could the best one really be worth?

$750 with four bids and no reserve
05/14/2013 update: SOLD for $840 with 6 bids.  Not sure what to think about this one…

Oxidation, or intentional?  These were all originally white with gray lowers.

Seems to have been debadged.  That’s too bad.

Dash plaque is intact!
