Rare Doesn’t Always Mean Desirable

When is the world’s most boring car slightly less boring?  According to Oddimotive, it’s when it’s the rarely-seen two-door version and has a clutch pedal.  Keep in mind we said slightly less boring, not exciting.

What is the most boring car, you ask?  Well, that’s a no-brainer – it’s a Camry.  Before the short-lived Solara, there was indeed a two-door Camry and, yes, it could be had with a manual transmission.  The seller claims it has a four-speed, but maybe they meant four-cylinder?  These could be had with a V6, which this appears not to have, based on steel wheels.

Given the lack of V6, we’ll hold back from offering a ‘buy’ recommendation.  However, if you have a teenager and you want cheap, reliable transportation in coupe form to discourage carrying too many people, this could be the best choice, particularly if you’d like to force them to learn to drive a stick.

Sporty?  The black steelie looks is actually better than the hubcap look.

Still pretty boring from this angle.

And, yes, very boring here.  Someone might have put some form of fart can exhaust on this, though.

Wow – this is boring on the inside, too!  In truth, this is a perfectly nice, functional interior.  If I’m not mistaken, this car has crank windows.  Why worry about power windows failing on your child’s car?  Note the shifter…

Yes, this has a back seat, but you could gut the interior for racing.
