Here in the US, we only got the turbocharged, three-cylinder-powered Suzuki Swift/Cultus in the form of the Chevy Sprint from 1986 through 1988. When the second generation car came to the US, the only high performance variant available was the excellent Suzuki Swift GTI (later GT due to VW lawsuit threats). Canada, however, got a turbocharged version of the second generation car AND sold them as Pontiacs! Oh, did I mention the car was called a Firefly?
Here we have a Turbo Firefly apparently in pretty good shape, although, with this type of car, that just means it’s not a total rust bucket like most. The interior appears to need some basic attention, but the outside really doesn’t look bad at all. Dark wheels look sort of cool on this one.
The question is whether the seller is anywhere near the market at a $4K starting price. So far, the market says no.

1991 Pontiac FireFly Turbo Very hard to find in U.S.A due to the fact they where never sold in the great u.s.a. Let me start off by saying yes car has clear New Jersey title in my name. I really dont want to sell this car and might take it off the market if it doesnt sell soon. It’s a solid car i bought from florida about two years ago. Car hasnt seen snow rain or salt since here in jersey location is belmar nj 07715 its been in storage. Best days for car to be seen is weekends i dont live any where close to my storage. Here’s a few of the things that i have changed since buying it. New front rotors and pads, New factory dual tip muffler pain to find New inner and outter tie rods both sides. New Rear hatch struts Used front struts oil change less then 600 miles. I also changed both front head light’s both door handles and fixed the locks. Both doors open and close from outside and inside common problem with these cars. Car does run and drive in the pass two years i have only used it maybe a month total. Here’s the bad windshield has a crack rear seats are from geo metro someone changed them. Hood release needs work Battery low from sitting around so long can jump start. At Times when idling for a long period of time does smoke white turbo might be toward its end of life dont know much about turbos.
