Post Twin-Stick: Dodge Colt Turbo

We love the early-to-mid-80s twin-stick Dodge Colt GTS Turbo and we like these later cars, too, even though they does lack the transmission weirdness.  Each offers Mitsubishi-sourced, domestic-badged hot hatch goodness.

This car appears to be in decent enough shape, except for the bashed-in hatch and faded paint.  We’d hope that a hatch wouldn’t be TOO hard to find, as there should be a decent supply of non-turbo Colts and Mitsu Mirage twins in salvage yards.  Naturally, that would be a perfect job to do leading into new paint.  That being said, the rat rod look would be cool for a while.  As with so many Craigslist ads, we’re left wondering how many miles this car has traveled…

This 80s wonder has no shortage of turbo graphics.  We’d be disappointed if it didn’t…

How, exactly, did this happen?

Interior is pretty sedate – no visible turbo graphics here, but we can’t see the upper seat backs.  Labels there were almost obligatory.

Hey! I’m selling my 1986 Dodge Colt. Runs extremely well, trans is solid all the way around. It’s a 5 speed manual transmission, and is fast as all hell. It has good tires 80%, and new distributor, wires, and plugs. Interior is in good condition considering the age, and exterior needs paint, and maybe a new hatch. The hatch works fine, just a little banged up from a previous owner. It has the original rims, and stereo. completely stock. It’s fast, and incredibly fun to drive. Call/text me at (909)xxx-xxxx.
