This is a replica of a Mercedes SSK, though in small scale. The basis seems to be a Mustang II. There’s nothing altogether too unusual or exciting about that, but the seller does a great job with this one, what with the ‘vintage’ photography, Gatsby references and careful mention of “1974 Mustang”, as opposed to “Mustang II.”
Claimed condition is great, but I have to wonder why the top end was rebuilt if the engine only has 4,500 miles on it!

Vintage image, or just Instagram?
This one is well finished, but interior size is a small fraction of the real thing. That’s why MG TD replicas make more sense – they’re actually the correct size…

I have for sale my Gorgeous remanufactured 1929 Mercedes SSK ROADSTER, Powered by a 1974 Ford Mustang 2300 cc engine (4cl) with a three speed automatic transmission. Drum brake shoes have little ware. The master cylinder is brand new. There is very little that has NOT been replaced. Ford Mustang type 2 frame. 4,500 on the clock. 1000 miles since the top end was rebuilt and transmission rebuilt. The fuel gauge is in great working order. Fuel consumption is good as it is a 4 cylinder engine with a light frame. BRAND NEW WHITE WALL TIRES. The car takes regular gas. It is a very simple engine. All of the functions are simple. You can tell by the tire tread there are very few miles on them. Registered until May 2015.
