I 1981 FREEWAY II MADE BY HMV ( HIGH MILEAGE VEHICALS) THIS IS PROBABLY THE LOWEST MILAGE ONE IN THE WORLD. THEY WERE ONLY MADE BETWEEN 1979 & 1982 AND ONLY ABOUT 700 WERE MADE. THIS ONE HAS THE OPTIONAL BIG ENGINE THE 16 HP TECUMSEH AND THE 9 GALON GAS TANK. I TOOK IT APART FOR INSPECTION AND CLEANED IT UP.
IT RUNS AND DRIVE WELL. I ADDED THE NEW MAG WHEELS, A MORE COMFORTABLE SEAT , TINTED WINDOWS AND STEERING WHEEL AND NEW CARPET. I KEPT ALL THE OLD PARTS.
THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT ITEM FOR A PRIVATE COLLECTION WHERE A GUY THINKS HE HAS EVERYTHING. I HAVE BEEN INTO CARS FOR 40 YEARS AND WHEN I TELL MY FRIENDS I BOUGHT A FREEWAY CAY THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE.
MY BEST ADVISE IS TO GOOGLE HMV FREEWAY CARS.

I wanted to add it does not have reverse. It weighs about 500 lbs and turns on a dime. You can turn it around in a normal street. I have a motorcycle that weighs 803 with no reverse. I have a clear Ohio title and it is titled as a car here in Ohio. I have seen some with a motorcycle tag. It will run 55 miles per hour but the steering is pretty quick. It is a lot easier to drive at 40 mph.
