I always say: “When Life Give You a RHD 1976 Datsun 1200 Ute”…

…Make a General Lee tribute!

This was apparently brought in from OZ.  Unfortunately, it’s one year too new to be smog exempt in California.  The seller mentions many upgrades and some, hopefully minor, rust issues.  $8,500 seems aggressive if the rust is anywhere near significant.  Then again, the buyer will be the only one on the block.

Sadly, the doors are NOT welded shut.

Things do look a bit hopped-up under the hood.  Note the elaborate Dixie horn setup.

Overall great condition for a 37 year old Datsun. I owned this car for 4 years and drove it daily in Australia where I lived. It is semi-famous and popular due to many car shows that I  entered it in. There is some rust in the driver’s door sill and some rust bubbles in a couple of spots. There is some rust in the floor pans as well. Also has a dent in the driver’s door. Needs new steering bushings and tie rods. Runs well, starts and drives fine. Hidden switch for the Dixie musical air horn… yeeehaw! The 01 General Lee vinyl decals are removable if not desired.

Comes with clean WA title
