Why does this exist? We don’t know, but we have a couple guesses.
1) The Rabbit-based “Caddy” either wasn’t out yet when this was done or simply wasn’t weird enough.
2) All pickups should have rear engines, so this is a mini SOKA or later interpretation of a Corvair Greenbriar truck
