Here we have one of each of the Isuzu SUVs rebadged as Honda/Acura products.  This seems like a great way to start a collection, but one is here in Orange County and one is in Virginia.

These are throw-backs to the days when Honda wasn’t fully committed to the idea of SUV products and thus went to Isuzu for help.  For Gen Y and younger readers, Isuzu used to be a leader in SUVs, long before the term crossover came around.

Passport (AKA Isuzu Rodeo with minimal changes):

Manual transmission is a bonus item!

Here is the truly rare beast, the Acura SLX (AKA Isuzu Trooper with minimal changes):

Unlike the Passport above, this bad boy retains its stock wheels.

We were always pleased with the Trooper’s somewhat odd door configuration and it’s a good thing is stayed on the Acura version.

Not a bad interior at all.  It’s too bad these all had ATs (as far as we can tell), but the manually-shifted transfer case is a cool item you don’t see these days.

So…is this a Honda head unit or did they get the supplier to re-label the cassette door on the same one Isuzu used?  Maybe former Isuzu owners can chime in?
