AMG had more than two decades of racing and performance history before Daimler purchased a controlling interest in 1990. Since then, of course, we know them as the in-house tuning arm of Mercedes Benz. This C36 was the first model released after Daimler acquired its interest in the firm and is thus rather significant.
Our subject car shows about 138K miles, which is low for a 1996 model, and appears to be in great shape. With their big inline sixes, these cars were capable of 0-60 MPH sprints just under the six second mark – not at all shabby for a mid-1990s sedan! If the maintenance has been kept up as indicated, this seems a pretty good deal at $6,500 – assuming you don’t like to shift your own gears.

Styling elements are fairly subtle, but mean. We like the monoblock-inspired wheels.
The W202 C-Class interior wasn’t a bad place to spend time, which is good because there weren’t a lot of AMG changes here.

Tires are in good shape. This car has been always garaged and is in fantastic shape. These cars came loaded with features, and all of them came with automatic transmission. The transmission is very strong and shifts smoothly
I have too many cars, and don’t drive this one much, lately. I’m looking to sell this car to a true enthusiast, since this car will soon become a classic. If you don’t know much about this model, there is plenty of data to learn about it online
