Denver Broncos themed 1974 Volvo 142

Your humble host had a 1974 Volvo 142 for a while and learned about the frustration that can come from a previously-neglected Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection setup.  This owner not only made his or her 142 into a Denver Broncos tribute, but decided to dump the B20 entirely and change to Toyota power and a big Holley four barrel.

There’s a reference to this being a circle track engine and one race season, but shockingly little detail about how, exactly, it’s been used and/or whether it’s street legal.  Good news is this pre-’76 could come to CA with no questions asked (assuming clean title).  Bad news is it’s painted in a Broncos theme which might just limit the potential buyer base.

The seller indicates that the graphics are removable, but we doubt that means all blue parts.

The car wears plates – shall we assume it’s street legal?

Interior looks very nice, even with aftermarket/later model seats.

That’s no B-series engine…

Up for auction is a 1974 Volvo custom built for Denver Bronco’s fans.  Second owner since 2007, this vehicle has been in Colorado all its life.  Tires only have 300-400 miles on the set, they are made by Mastercraft.  The wheels were custom powder coated by a local shop in town.  All glass is good, new single exhaust system with down pipe, Custom paint with removable vinyl graphics, custom rear spoiler, custom leather interior, aluminum flywheel, racing clutch, Holley 500 2Bbl carb, factory 410 Volvo rear end, factory 4-wheel disc brakes, 5-Spd. manual Toyota trans.  This listing is being posted for my friend Willie so please call him as is mentioned below, thank you.

Engine is custom built for circle track racing by LC Engineering out of Lake Havasu, Arizona.  It’s a 22R Toyota engine with 20R head.  It was raced only one season so the hours are fairly low.  The engine alone was almost $5,000 when purchased new.
