Best or worst “special edition”?

We see Scouts pretty frequently and love them, but any International pickup still moving under its own power today is extremely cool. This “Johnnie Reb” edition may be the coolest of all, even if it is (or maybe because it is) potentially offensive.

According to the seller, IH only made three special  edition trucks:  the 57′ Anniversary, the Johnnie Reb, and the Snowstar.

Apparently, the paint job is part of the Johnnie Reb package?

Excellent decals, even if they’ve caused rust problems.

This interior is not too spartan for a 70s truck.

Here is an original, documented 1971 International Harvester Johnnie Reb.  This could be the last one you’ll see this original, that has not been tampered with.  This truck is not only rare, it also has air conditioning,(not working) that is unusual for this model.  It has an automatic transmission, dual exhaust, and tinted glass.  Included is the line setting ticket that shows the codes or options it was built with.  This is very complete, it has all of the hubcaps, bed rails, cab lights, and under bed spare tire.  The truck does have the typical rust spots.  Truck runs and drives good.  International only made 3 special package trucks, the 57′ Anniversary, the Johnnie Reb, and the Snowstar.  This truck would make a great restoration vehicle because it is documented and complete.
