A 1985 Mustang GT is just too normal for you, eh?

How about a same-year Mercury Capri GS?  This has the same four-barrel carb, tubular exhaust manifolds and red interior piping that made the ’85 GT so cool, but with added obscurity and a strange bubble window in the hatchback.

We think this one is almost a bargain at the asking price, assuming the condition really is as good as it appears.  It could use some cleanup under the hood, but it sure looks like it’s all there.  We’re generally okay with the replaced intake and carb – they hide well enough, so the look is stock.   We love the stock ten-hole wheels being present.  That’s a rare treat on a Fox.

All we could ask for to improve upon this one would be a McLaren Capri, like the one we previously featured.

This is the Capri money shot!

It’s rare to see a Mustang or Capri of this vintage so original, right down to the steering wheel.  We wonder if the dash is cracked or just covered for protection – either way, a Coverlay or replacement shouldn’t be TOO hard to find.

This looks honest under the hood – just a little cleanup and an air cleaner decal would go a long way.  Again, it’s rare to see something like this appear so stock.
