80s Shelby in the right Color Scheme

Here we have a 1985 Dodge Shelby Charger with a later engine swapped in and wearing later wheels.  The good news is it’s in the proper silver and blue regalia.  The bad news is that paint has more than a bit of patina.

The car is not without issues, so bid accordingly.  The seller provides a pretty good video overview of the car, so at least there’s that…

The interior color combo on this is pretty awesome.

This is a Project of mine that I wont have time to finish.   Alot of work is already done for you.     Its a 1985 Dodge Charger Shelby that has a newer Motor and Trans out of a 87 Daytona Shelby.  It is the T2/555 setup.  The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner and I was told it has around 20-30k miles on the rebuild.  It runs strong but since the swap I cannot get the idle to be perfect.  Idles up and down until warm.    The exhaust is not hooked up yet.  I have the stock downpipe and have bought a used 3″ cat back system to install in the car.  It will be included in the sale.    I also have put a handful of new parts in the vehicle.  Here are the ones I remember:   New Battery, Fuel pump and filter, Spark plugs, cap and rotor, cv axles, Ball Joints, tie rod ends, Head Gasket and timing belt.    We also put the Koni adjustable coil overs up front.   Adjustment and alignment still needed before I would put it on the road.     Had a newer clutch according to the last owner and it feels tight.    It will need a thermostat but one is included with the car.    I have the factory Louvers that will go with the car.   I also have a handful of extra parts in the trunk that go with it also.   The Body will need some new paint and a few spots worked on but nothing major. The door hinges sag a little so it requires a little help when opening the doors. Tires are good all around and have plenty of life.   The interior just needs some cleanup and it will be pretty good.   I cant get the rear hatch open yet but haven’t dug into that to much yet.     This is a fun and unique little car.  I hope it finds the right hands to make it what is can be.    For a car that is almost 30 yrs old it is in pretty good shape!
