1978 Jeep J10 Honcho with Levi's Interior and Four-Speed

This is easily the best-looking pickup ever made, and the Honcho package added 70s decals, roll bar and Levi's interior to the mix. We love it, especially in these colors.

The seller points out a few paint flaws, but this truck is in fantastic shape and a little patina only adds to it.  With the 360 and four-speed, this should be entertaining enough and the four-wheel drive adds go-anywhere capability.  Mileage is listed in the 70Ks, but we don't know if it's ever rolled over.  With a little more info on engine age/rebuild status, we'll say this is a deal at an offer fairly close to the asking price and it's a car toy that could be very useful for the right owner.

Sure, we love the 60s/early 70s Gladiator trucks for their weird front-ends, but this one just screams bad ass.

What's not to love about the coolest pickup design ever? The Honcho stuff just makes it more awesome.

Soak up that two-tone treatment.

It's not clear whether this came with a chrome front and black rear bumper of if this was done sometime over the last forty years. It does go well with the awesome roll bar, though.

Here's a look at the denim interior with the four-speed shifter. Transfer case shifter is visible in other shots.

We dig the Pontiac-esque, "engine turned" aluminum (-look?) instrument cluster!

Bed is in good shape with spray-on bedliner.

The 360 V8 appears to have been cleaned up for sale and things look original enough.

The Jeep Honcho was a trim package on the J10 pickup, offered from 1976-1983. It consisted of bold striping and decals, and was offered with factory extras such as the Levi's interior or a roll bar. The content of the Honcho package varied from year to year, but "always included the wide-track look of the Cherokee Chief." The Honcho was one in a series of special decal packages offered for J-Series trucks in the mid to late 1970s, which included the Golden Eagle and the "10-4" which offered an optional Citizens' Band radio along with the decals. The Honcho package was only available on the sportside (stepside) and short bed trucks. Between 1980 and 1983, only 1,264 of the sportside versions were produced.
